I have come to the conclusion that America is in trouble no matter which candidate wins in November. How big the trouble will be depends who wins. Our country is in dire need of a true leader, none of these candidates in my opinion fill that bill. My only choice as a voter is to vote for the lesser of two evils. How do the candidates stack up in my book? Well, read on my friends.
Hillary Clinton: She is probably the easiest one to dissect because she’s said so much over the years as First Lady, Senator and now Presidential candidate that her true personality comes forth. I am going to point out her positive qualities, not that she has that many but can be viewed as an asset if you’re going into business or politics.
POSITIVE QUALITIES:
1) Very determined. Not a bad quality to have if directed towards positive goals.
2) Very object focused. Again not a bad quality to have. She focuses on her objectives and appears to be driven to reach her goals.
NEGATIVE QUALITIES:
1) Pathological/Compulsive liar. I am having a hard time which of these terminologies fits Hillary best. I don’t know if it’s possible for a human being to be both. Here are the definitions as I found them on a website called www. truthaboutdeception.com.
(a) A pathological liar is usually defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. Pathological lying is often viewed as coping mechanism developed in early childhood and it is often associated with some other type of mental health disorder. A pathological liar is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused - it is done to get one's way). Pathological liars have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. A pathological liar often comes across as being manipulative, cunning and self-centered.
(b) A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (see, Pathological Liar), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship.
As you can see, both seem to fit Hillary Clinton to a tee. Her story about the Bosnia trip fits the compulsive liar definition. She has told that story at least 3 times about being under sniper fire upon her arrival in Bosnia. Even knowing full well that proof existed to prove her story untrue. The pilot of the aircraft, Sinbad the comedian who was along for the ride and the CBS tape footage proving her a liar. Knowing that there were others who could refute her story, why did she continue telling the lie over and over? I am not a clinical psychologist but this woman has a problem telling the truth. So one could call her a compulsive liar. But wait, a pathological liar often comes across as being manipulative, cunning and self-centered. I have seen numerous photographs of Clinton. The truth is in the eyes. She has this “I’m smarter than everyone else” look about her. I mean, the audacity of this woman to say that she and Obama should join forces with her at the top of the ticket when she’s trailing him in delegates. That should tell you how she views herself. She’s cunning and self-centered and lies when she doesn’t have to. So bottom line is you could call her a pathological compulsive liar.
2) She is a socialist. Here is a gem of a quote.
“Many of you are well enough off that the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”
This is right out of the communist manifesto. This is simply wealth re-distribution. This is the same tune all dictators use to gain political power. Why? Because they know that the masses far out number the wealthy and nothing is finer that bringing the wealth down to their level. What they fail to realize it that whatever the government gives them, it can be taken away in a heartbeat. As proven by the above statement ” We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” Who is to be the one that determines the "common good"? Why she of course. This is slavery under the guise of wealth re-distribution. Some folks would be very comfortable with this arrangement, but not me. I prefer freedom.Barack Hussein Obama: Now I get to pick on Obama. This is a man who has no experience at running anything but his mouth. He’s never governed a state, he is in his first term as the Junior US Senator for Illinois and there is nothing in his resume that qualifies him to lead this nation. As with Hillary Clinton, I am going to attempt to point out any positive qualities then follow it up with some negative ones.
POSITIVE QUALITIES:
1). Excellent orator. I have to give it to him. He is the best bullsh**er I have ever heard. He missed his calling. Should have been a used car salesman. I have this saying, if you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls**t. I have listened to him and read some of his material and I’m still trying to figure him out.
2). Very smart.
NEGATIVE QUALITIES:
1) Married to a loser of a wife. “For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “because it feels like hope is making a comeback.” And this gem of a quote. “Barack is one of the smartest people you will ever encounter who will deign to enter this messy thing called politics.” I will save you some time in looking up the definition of deign. Condescend: do something that one considers to be below one’s dignity. (wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn.) I guess that means that the Obama’s are doing us a big favor by running for President.
2) A racist and an elitist. Further evidence of what Obama thinks of America is this quote from the LA Times. At the closed-door fundraising event, Obama, speaking of people living in small towns in Pennsylvania and the Midwest, said: "It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." If this quote is not elitist, I don’t know what is. For a guy who is supposed to be so smart, he sure says some stupid things. As for being racist, all you have to remember how he defended his former pastor. In a statement to ABCNews.com, Obama's press spokesman Bill Burton said, "Sen. Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. Obama does not think of the pastor of his church in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. Obama's affection for Rev. Wright or his appreciation for the good works he has done."
3) Let me put this in a “What if” category. What if Senator John McCain or even Hillary Clinton went to KKK meetings during the weekends with Senator Robert Byrd, who is a EX-KLAN member over the course of 20 years. Now let me take the quote from Obama and just change things around a bit.
(a) In a statement to ABCNews.com, McCain’s/Clinton’s press spokesman Joe Goodbody said, "Sen. McCain/Clinton has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. McCain/Clinton does not think of the Senator in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. McCain/Clinton deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. McCain/Clinton’s affection for Sen. Byrd or his appreciation for the good works he has done."
If either McCain or Clinton said this, all hell would break loose. You don’t attend Klan rallies for over 20 years and not know what the message is. Neither do you attend a church where the pastor is preaching a message that is clearly racist unless you agree with it. Bottom line is Sen. Obama nor his wife ever thought that someday he would be a candidate for President of the United States. He clearly believes every word from Rev. Wright and is trying to appear that it’s no big deal.
4) Ashamed of his middle name. Reports are that Obama does not want the press or anyone to invoke his middle name which is Hussein. Why is that? Well, that is easy to explain. He doesn’t want to appear Muslim. He denies he is a Muslim, that he and his wife are Christian. That claim is highly suspect. He may have gone to a Christian church, but the messages he has been receiving is far from Christian. Question is can a man with a Muslim background, even a non-practicing Muslim, defend America if the need should arise? I don’t think he will.
John McCain: Last but not forgotten, John McCain. This is the second go around for him and I guess we are stuck with him for better or worse. Now McCain is not a terrible choice, just not my preference. I don’t completely trust him to do the right thing when it counts. He has a lot of plus’s but it’s the negatives that I worry about.
POSITIVE QUALITIES:
1) A leader. Not a strong leader but has the experience of leadership. Of course his leadership skills were cut short when he was a guest of the North Vietnamese, but on the other hand, when you’re a POW and a high ranking officer to boot, your fellow POW’s look to you for leadership.
2) Military experience. Vietnam veteran. Served in the US Navy and was a naval aviator who was shot down and became a prisoner of war. Understands the consequences of war.
3) Elected to Congress in 1982 and in 1986 elected Senator. Experience is how Washington operates.
4) Will defend America against all enemies and would not hesitate to use military force if necessary.
NEGATIVE QUALITIES;
1) Volatile temper. His temper is quite well known. It may have served him well in Vietnam as a POW, but as Commander-in-Chief is another matter. I think that he may have been hit upside his head one to many times as a POW. His temper may get in the way of sound judgment.
2) His age is a question. I know that just because he is in his 70’s shouldn’t disqualify him from running for President, however the pressures of the office can age a person faster than it would normally. I don’t know for a fact if he will last the entire 4 years. He could surprise me. I mean he made it through 6 or 7 years under harsh conditions as a POW but then again, he was much younger.
3) To cozy with the Democrats. It appears to me that he has this need to attempt to get along with the folks on the other side of the isle. I don’t think the Democrats would be to upset if McCain wins. He’s almost a Democrat himself. I just wonder if he gets the George Bush treatment, if he decides to start acting like a true Republican.
Well there you have it. Come November it will be either Obama or Clinton versus McCain. The way it looks today, it’s Obama against McCain. The way I see it, it’s Obama’s race to lose. Hillary is cunning and shrewd. Just when you think she’s done, she’s like the Phoenix, rises from the ashes. The question for me is: Do I vote for Clinton or Obama or do I go with McCain? As much as I think some of America deserves either Obama or Clinton, I can not in good counsicous vote for either of them. So, I'll just hold my patriotic nose and vote for McCain. The lesser of two evils.
